Marine Radio Course (RYA certificate) – fully booked
This practical and theoretical training enables you to to handle a marine radio (short range certificate). Many charter companies ask for the certificate (at least in the Mediterranean).
The Short Range Certificate is the qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment. This includes both fixed and hand held equipment using International channels.
A radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures, including MAYDAY.
John, a former Club member is RYA instructor and comes over for a weekend to run the course. If you want to do the examen for the RYA certificate, you can do this the same day.
There are 8 places available shared between BISC and CNCE. To secure your place for the course:
1. contact John by email and provide him with your contact details (incl club membership).
